A virtual walk through -The Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden.
On September 10th, 2022 the NIGC welcomed its’ members back to the first general meeting of the 2022-2023year. As their first program, a community natural treasure, The Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden was spotlighted. The Director of the Garden, Mary Sramek, shared the history and establishment of the Garden as well as explained the essential components of a Japanese garden. Her PowerPoint presentation highlighted the flora and fauna which surround the winding paths and wooden bridges, the Tea House, and the Zen Garden. How fortunate we are to have this lovely garden to enjoy as an escape from the stresses of our daily lives.
NIGC President Deborah Smith and 1st Vice President Linda Frame had the pleasure of presenting three Naples community citizens - Michael Frame, John Boezinger, and Roland Misajon - honorary membership to the NIGC. Each man had volunteered their time and effort to many of the events and projects that NIGC is involved. We thank them for their spirit of volunteerism and helping our Club make Naples such a beautiful place to live.
