February’s Program: “The Victorian Meaning of Flowers”

With spring just around the corner according to the calendar but not the weatherman, our

February meeting was the perfect time to hear about the language of flowers and to learn what a

“tussie mussie” is.  

Our speaker was Marie Barnidge McIntyre, who is the Curator of Living Collections,

Horticulturalist, and Resource Manager of the Rancho Los Cerritos Historic Site.

Marie’s presentation left us excited for our upcoming visit to the Rancho in May.
