June Luncheon and Installation of New Officers: June 12, 2024
Eighty-one club members and guests gathered at Old Ranch Country Club on a beautiful June afternoon to celebrate the installation of Linda Frame and the other newly elected officers of the garden club. Linda’s theme for her presidency is “Connect, Cultivate, Change”, and her color choices are green and purple. Many of the ladies in attendance chose to wear those colors, and in combination with the gorgeous floral arrangements and linens, it made for a cohesive and beautiful event.
We were entertained by Eric Bell’s mellow jazz trio during the social hour, and there were heartfelt speeches to thank the outgoing officers and board of directors following the delicious luncheon. Out-going President Deborah Smith announced that our club had won District, State, AND National 1st place awards for Membership Awareness for our 50th Anniversary boat parade float! An Exceptional Service Award was given to Nancy Pinckert, and Trish Schooley, Catherine Steisel, and Sandy Davidson were also recognized for their outstanding contributions this year. The new officers, Pres. Linda Frame, 1st VP Esther Duran, 2nd VP Maureen Schultz, Treasurer Beverly Butters Lane, Rec. Sec. Kristen Gomez, Cor. Sec. Lynne Clarke, and Parliamentarian Susan Bell were introduced and installed into office by Barbara Jordon.
Committee chair Tish Camp wishes to thank her amazing committee for creating such a beautiful event! It truly was a labor of love.
