NIGC Anniversary Tree
A fifty year anniversary is certainly something to celebrate and what better
way to mark such a milestone - plant a tree!! On Saturday, September 23rd,
a small group of NIGC members witnessed our anniversary tree, a 24 gallon
crepe myrtle tree (muskogee/lagerstroemia indica) being planted in the street
parkway at Naples Elementary School. After the tree was planted,
President Deborah Smith gave a dedication noting that this beautiful tree
would be a symbol of the NIGC members, past, present, and future, who work
to improve and beautify our Naples community. So, the next time you’re on
The Toledo and you’re passing Naples School, be sure to notice the beautiful
NIGC anniversary tree.
