Veterans Day celebration - 2021

Once again, on a bright, sunny morning, the Naples Islands Garden Club hosted their annual Veterans Day celebration at LaBella Fontana on Thursday, November 11th. Boy Scout Troop #105 presented the colors and President Pam McCredie welcomed the crowd of Veterans, neighbors and friends. Our 3rd District Councilperson, Suzie Price, spoke on Community Pride and thanked the men and women whose military service ranged from World War II through Afghanistan, for their sacrifice and service. The highlight of the day came as each serviceperson was given the microphone to introduce themselves and share their personal military experiences. The celebration ended with a rousing rendition of “God Bless America”, led by Kevin and Kai Misajon and a beautiful wreath was placed at the flagpole to commemorate the day.
